It is a budget app, not a bank.
The short version: you pay a subscription, what you record is yours, sharing a household shares all of it, and nothing here is financial advice.
Agreeing to these terms
Using Two Cents means agreeing to what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use it. These terms are between you and OpenSoftLabs LLC.
Two Cents is not financial advice
It records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it. It does not advise you, does not know your circumstances, and is not a substitute for an accountant or a financial adviser. Decisions you make with it are yours.
What it costs
Two Cents is a paid subscription with a free trial. The price, the billing period and the trial length are shown in the app before you are charged. Payment is taken by Apple or Google through your app store account, and renews automatically until you cancel.
Cancel any time from your App Store or Play Store subscription settings; you keep access until the period you have paid for runs out. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
Your account
You need an Apple or Google account to sign in. Keep it secure: anyone who can use it can see your household. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
Sharing a household
Inviting someone gives them full access to that household: every entry, past and present, and the ability to add, edit and delete. An invite code is a key — only send it to the person you mean to share with.
There is no way to un-see what a partner has already seen. If a household should no longer be shared, contact us and we will help you separate it.
Your content is yours
What you record belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store it, sync it between the two phones in your household, and show it back to you. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not sell it.
Notifications are best effort
Reminders and alerts go through Apple and Google, and are delivered when they are delivered. They can be late, or not arrive at all — a phone can be off, offline, or in a power-saving mode. Do not rely on a notification as your only way of remembering something.
Your data can be lost
We take reasonable care, but no service is perfect. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. Two Cents is provided as it is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Fair use
Do not break the law with it, do not try to reach other people’s households, do not attack the service or work around its limits, and do not resell it. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability and changes
Features may change, and the app may be unavailable at times. If we ever discontinue Two Cents we will give notice in the app and a way to export what you have recorded.
Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
